This fundraiser is so special because it is honor of my very dear friend who spent weeks in the ICU at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia after being helicoptered there. She is dealing with a rare auto immune disease and is currently on dialysis. She stayed at Howie's House while her dad underwent kidney donation surgery in order for her to be put on the list for a new kidney. Staying there was such a blessing to the family because it was easier to get to the hospital for her dialysis as well. The National Kidney Registry has been of great help to her family throughout the process and Howie's House is a such a blessing to sick children and their families.  I am praying that my friend will be able to receive a kidney in the upcoming months.
